Our Objectives

On a typical day of Swapskills Training, we consider it our objectives to

Develop Awareness of the Bank's product suite
Produce Original Thinkers
Generate an awareness of Intellectual Capital

We want to fine tune competent generalists who possess enough practical knowledge of key Financial Markets solutions so that complex business opportunities can be handed smoothly to the next level for handling by the product specialist.

The ideal banker will be able to proactively identify the Financial Markets strengths (and weaknesses) and have ascertained what differentiates your Bank from its competition. This will enable the participant to direct the client towards the most suitable areas of the Bank.

For maximum efficiency you need to know what internal and external resources are on hand to ensure a highly professional and complete proposal for the client. Be aware of the power of possible resources such as MindAlign, Bloomberg, Placeware, research and explore ways to make the maximum impact on the client to maximize revenues.

Our Strategy

Simply reading an annual report and having a quarterly client meeting is insufficient to develop a strong understanding of how the client actually does his business and where he is exposed to operational, financial and business risk. We want participants to -

IDENTIFY

Identify business opportunities, buying centres in both corporate and financial institutions as well as the decision-makers

ANALYZE

Analyze the situation and quantify how market developments may affect the client

PARTNER

Parnter with the client to develop appropriate risk policies to reflect the client's developments in new markets and exposure to a changing risk environment

Our Approach

Our approach to training is to keep our subject matter relevant and participative. On a typical day of Swapskills training, you will participate in interactive case studies, propose your own structured solutions for your client, watch videos, play trading games, solve quizzes, play around with our pricing models and hear Simon narrate his experiences from his years doing capital markets business. There will be plenty to read and a lot of homework each of which will be attempted induvidually or in groups.
